About Me

Manisha Malik in Lucknowi Chikankari and silver earcuffs.

My name is Manisha Malik. I was born in a small village in Rajasthan and grew up in Delhi and Haryana. These days I’m a content creator specialising in fashion inspired by Indian heritage, and I’m married to Karl Rock.

As a kid, I watched the women around me weaving durries (traditional carpets), and stitching and embroidering clothes during the long summer afternoons.

My passion for Indian-inspired fashion began growing from there.

I began travelling around India, exploring villages and remote towns, visiting artisan villages and local fairs, and collecting vintage clothes, jewellery, and handicrafts.

I love exploring cultures, their fashion, folk music, handicrafts, food, and ways of living.

Over the years, I learnt more about Indian crafts and built a collection of gorgeous embroideries, weaves, and jewellery – including Punjabi Phulkari, Lucknowi Chikankari, Kashmiri Pashmina, and Rajasthani Meenakari.

I love showing it to family and friends, and now I’m sharing it with you through my blog, YouTube channel, and Instagram profile.

In this video, I talk openly and honestly about my struggles growing up with vitiligo.
I make videos on my YouTube channel that help people discover authentic Indian fashion.
This is a TVC I did for Amazon India Fashion. It played on high-rotate during the IPL.
